GLOSSARY OF TERMS OF THE LAW OF DOMESTIC WORKERS

Employer: The owner of the residence or household and who used to work from home, provides room and board and they are compensated for their work done

Workers home: They are household service workers who perform cleaning duties, cooking, washing, care, child care and other conservation own a home or family home and the development of the life of a home, who do not mind profit or business for the employer or their families

Residence or Guest House: A place where domestic workers perform their tasks

Profit or Economic Profit: Avail, gain, advantage, economic utility

Employment Contract: Agreement to provide services in the home it is concluded orally or in writing between the employer or owner of the residence or household and household worker

Book about life in the home: domestic workers are obliged to provide services diligently and with discretion and reservation about the life and incidents in the home, unless required by the Act

Compensation: Is the payment in cash or in kind paid to domestic workers for their services. Remuneration in all its forms will be marked by free agreement of the parties. Compensation will be paid on a monthly, fortnightly or weekly

Proof of payments: Document or evidence of the granting of compensation

Food and accommodation: The employer is obliged to provide accommodation to work from home and food, appropriate to the economic level of the employer. Such concepts are not considered as part of remuneration

Compensation: Pay compensation equivalent to the total of fifteen (15) days if dispensed with the notice of dismissal of fifteen (15) days.

Other forms of termination employment contract: By the death of one of the parties, by mutual agreement, the worker's retirement, for misconduct

Service Time Compensation: Compensation for length of service equivalent to (15) days pay for each year services or the proportion of that amount by a fraction of a year, and will be paid directly by the employer to the employee upon termination of employment within forty-eight hours. Can also be paid at the end of each year services as a full settlement.

Weekly Rest: household workers are entitled to four (24) consecutive hours off per week.

Working holidays: The household service workers enjoy paid leave designated holidays for workers subject to private sector labor. Arrangement, you can make the rest day worked, on payment of a surcharge equivalent to 50% of pay, additional compensation of one day

Vacations: Domestic workers are entitled to paid annual leave of fifteen days after a year of continuous service. The truncated record will be compensated at the rate of many twelfths and thirtieths of remuneration and any countable months and days worked, respectively

Rewards: Workers at home are entitled to a reward on Independence Day and another for Christmas. The bonuses will be paid in the first half of July and December. The amount of these is equivalent to 50% of the monthly wage job

Home "bedding out": The relations of domestic workers who provide services under the "bedding out" or without obligation to live in home in which they work are governed by this Law

Home Work "in bed": for household service workers to remain at home under the "bed in" the sum of the periods effective work during the day and week may not exceed eight hours and forty-eight hours per week.

Right to education: The right enjoyed by the worker's home. The employer must provide the necessary facilities to ensure their regular attendance at your school outside working hours

Risks covered: The household service workers under the relation of dependence are included in the provisions on social security such as compulsory insurance.
